WorkBC Delegation
WorkBC representatives presented an overview of the services provided in 2021 and the Vanderhoof area labour statistics. They asked if the District would like specific labour-related statistics tracked for future reporting. Council requested for WorkBC to provide updated statistics on a quarterly basis so they can be better informed on how to support the local labour market.

Nulki-Tachick Lakes Stewardship Society: Request for Letter of Support and Possible Funding
The Nulki-Tachick Lakes Stewardship Society has requested a letter of support/ possible funding from the District towards an initial project study; focusing on increasingly negative overall lake water conditions and health on Nulki and Tachick Lakes.
Result: Council directed staff to write a letter of support pending that the work being done is not being duplicated by the Nechako Watershed Roundtable.
Premium Pellet Emissions Permit Amendment
Council is interested in the expansion and would like to see that the project have the precipitator prior to the expansion coming online. A member of the Environment Committee also indicated that community members are already struggling with poor air quality.
Result: Council directed staff to draft a letter from Council in favor of the expansion and include the need for the precipitator prior to the expansion coming online.

2022 Indigenous Day – In-Kind Request
Councillor Moutray brought forward a written In-Kind Request from Carrier Sekani requesting support for the upcoming Indigenous Day event.
Result: Council supports Carrier Sekani’s In-Kind Request to support for the 2022 Indigenous Day.
New Business
Grant Application Resolutions
Council supported the District of Vanderhoof applications to the following grants:
- UBCM Community Emergency Preparedness Fund for the Emergency Operations Centres & Training program for $25,000.
- Regional District of Bulkley Nechako in the amount of $32,250.00 for the construction of the airport washroom.
- Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako’s Gas Tax Fund in the amount of $67,750.00 for Airport Lighting.
Flag Guidelines Policy
Result: Council adopted the 4.8 Flag Guidelines Policy.
Subdivision Servicing Bylaw Business Case
Council requested the timeline. Staff noted that it could take up to the end of the summer to be completed.
Result: Council approves the Subdivision and Servicing Bylaw Review Project.
