Residents that want to benefit from the Woodstove Exchange program can get up to $2000 in rebates for replacing their non-EPA- certified stove or outdoor wood boiler with an eligible appliance.
Changes to the program include that propane and natural gas stoves will only be eligible for exchange until December 31st,2022. After December 31st, 2022. propane and natural gas stoves will not be eligible for exchange and benefit from the program, so residents are encouraged to apply as soon as possible!
Additionally, residents should make sure to contact the District of Vanderhoof before removing their current appliance to confirm eligibility, as the District can not confirm eligibility after removal has taken place.
