Sergeant Ushock presented the RCMP 2021-year end statistics, including the Sergeant’s appreciation of the positive relationship RCMP has with residents.

A member of the public asked a question about the type of building being used for the Airport Washroom and corrected the name of the Airport Emergency Lighting project.
Administration Reports
2021 Building Permit Report
Staff present the 2021 Building Permit Report. Staff noted that civilian and industrial projects have been the main reason for developments during the 2021 year.
New Business
Riverside Park Erosion Mitigation Project Update
Staff presented the Riverside Bank Stabilization Request for Decision (RFD)to Council. Staff suggested there was not enough time in between when Council received the Mitigation Update to now for Council to make an informed decision on the options available. Council agreed but voiced their shared opinion that this project can not wait much longer and needs an alternative solution sooner than later.
Result: Council deferred the Riverside Bank Stabilization Request for Decision to the February 14th, 2022 Council meeting, so they may have more time to look over all the options and solutions.
Election Appointments
With the upcoming 2022 General Local Election, Staff presented the 2022 General Local Election – Appointments Request for Decision and recommended that Council appoints the Corporate Officer as the Chief Election Officer, and appoints the Deputy Corporate Officer as the Deputy Chief Election Officer.
Result: Council appointed the Corporate Officer as the Chief Election Officer and the Deputy Corporate Officer as the Deputy Chief Election Officer.

Council voted to support the following grant applications by the District of Vanderhoof, with specific projects and requested amounts:
