Message from the Province Requesting Critical Supplies for Essential Services
We know that businesses and organizations want to do their part to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We have a way you can help.
The Province needs specific supplies to keep our health care professionals safe and support essential services. You know your businesses and organizations best and that is why we are reaching out to you directly. We are asking you to coordinate an inventory of critical supplies held by your organization or membership.
Please fill out the above spreadsheet, which has a list of personal protective equipment, and medical and cleaning supplies we need to keep providing for essential services. We ask that you include all the supplies and associated volumes held by your organization outlined in the spreadsheet. We are also asking you to identify in the spreadsheet whether your organization can send the supplies to the centralized provincial distribution facilities, located in the Lower Mainland and Victoria, for further distribution across B.C.
Please forward this request to other organizations that you believe may have material inventories of the requested Critical Supplies. While we appreciate the inventory of any supplies, right now, we are only looking for quantities of 100 units or more at this time. In the future, the Province may ask you about other supplies or equipment that can help stop the spread of COVID-19. But for now, we are asking you to register only the critical supplies you have identified in the attached spreadsheet.
Time is of the essence, so please return the spreadsheet by Thursday, April 2 to: ESMOC.DIRECTOR@gov.bc.ca.
Stopping the spread of COVID-19 remains everyone’s top priority. We can all do our part by following the direction and orders from our provincial health officer. Thank you in advance for helping with this request for donations of these critical supplies.

Hello Vanderhoof,
The District of Vanderhoof is committed to ensuring residents are kept informed of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. The District is actively monitoring the status of the pandemic and taking appropriate precautions.
At this time, the Public Health Agency of Canada and the BC Ministry of Health have a strategy focused on containment of the virus through thorough testing, identification, and isolation of individuals who have travelled to countries where there have been significant outbreaks or been in contact with someone who has tested positive.
The District of Vanderhoof is taking direction from Northern Health and the BC Centre for Disease Control to help minimize the spread of COVID-19.
During this time, the District remains committed to continuing to provide the Vanderhoof community with a high level of service. We are available to answer your calls, requests, and emails as the Municipal Office, Public Works yard, and Fire Department remain open, while honoring the guidelines for social distancing to keep our staff and the public safe.
As the BC Chief Medical Officer has advised to cancel events of 50 people or more, the Vanderhoof Aquatic Centre and the Vanderhoof Arena are closed until further notice.
The health and safety of our members, staff, and the community will continue to be our top priority!
