The District of Vanderhoof would like to recognize the Vanderhoof Community Foundation for their continued and enduring support of worthwhile, home-grown community projects. Through a mix of donations, volunteer efforts, and smart fiscal management, the Foundation has funded initiatives such as the COVID-19 Fitness Challenge, Overdose Recognition Training, and Naloxone Kit Distribution. Additionally, the Foundation has assisted other local organizations in enhancing their service delivery, granting funds to Nechako Valley Search and Rescue for Incident Command Vests and to the Vanderhoof Air Cadets for specialized waterproofing and storage equipment.
In recognition of these outstanding endeavors, The District of Vanderhoof would like to offer the Vanderhoof Community Foundation a donation of $2,807.00 to help build permanent endowment funds for local projects and initiatives. This donation comes from surplus funding received from the dissolving of the Stuart-Nechako Regional Economic Development Society in May 2021.
To the Vanderhoof Community Foundation, we appreciate your work and acknowledge your accomplishments. We look forward to celebrating your lasting success as you continue to strengthen our community today, tomorrow, and forever.
