The District of Vanderhoof is excited to announce New Line Skateparks Inc. has been selected to design and construct the Vanderhoof Skateboard Park. New Line Skateparks Inc. is a full-service design and construction firm based on Langley, BC and brings expertise from nearly 200 unique projects around the world.
On June 15, 2018 at 466 Stewart St E, the field adjacent to ball diamond 4 will be dedicated as the new home of the Vanderhoof Skateboard Park and will form part of the new recreation hub along with the baseball diamonds, recreation fields, aquatic centre, and arena.
The District of Vanderhoof Skateboard Park Committee will work with New Line Skateparks Inc. to develop a comprehensive design that will fit the needs of the community. Site analysis, concept design, technical design, and construction drawings will begin as soon as possible, and are expected to take approximately 16 weeks, completed by fall of 2018. New Line Skateparks Inc. is committed to working with local contractors to build the new park with an anticipated size range of 6,820 sqft to 8,070 sqft dependent on design features. Construction is set to begin in the spring of 2019, with completion in the fall of 2019.
