Another EV charging station is coming to Vanderhoof!
Expected to begin July 24, a BC Hydro fast-charging station will be installed on the District-owned property along Columbia Street West behind the Royal Bank branch. The project is expected to take no more than one week to complete and will provide charging space for up to 4 electric vehicles once it is up and running.
During the project, the parking spaces directly behind RBC will be unavailable for one day as trenching work for the electrical equipment is completed (picture below, in the yellow area). Once trenching is completed, the contractor will make every effort to contain their work (in the red area) and occupy as small of a footprint as possible.
As always, please be aware of construction work going on in the area during your visits to neighbouring businesses, drive with caution and follow any directions given by construction personnel.
