Local Performers Invited to Audition for Centennial Music Event

VANDERHOOF, B.C. – The District of Vanderhoof Centennial Committee and Homecoming event organizers are thrilled to announce a call for local performers to take the stage during Vanderhoof’s 100-year celebrations, happening July 3–5, 2026. This once-in-a-century event will showcase the incredible talent of our community and surrounding region.

We are inviting bands, solo vocalists, cowboy poets, and storytellers to audition for this exciting opportunity. Performers selected will have a professional backing band to help make this milestone celebration unforgettable.

How to Audition
Submit a sample of your work on CD or USB thumb drive
Address submissions to Don Rudland at the Municipal Office, 160 Connaught Street
Deadline: Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.

Guidelines
Bands: Provide 2 samples (1–2 minutes each), unless submitting a full CD. At least one band member must reside in Vanderhoof, Saik’uz, or the Nechako Valley.
Solo vocalists, storytellers, and cowboy poets: Provide 2 samples (1–2 minutes each), unless submitting a full CD. Priority will be given to residents of the Nechako Valley.

Limited Performance Slots
This is a rare chance to be part of Vanderhoof’s centennial stage lineup. With limited slots available, we encourage performers to submit their auditions early and secure their place in this monumental celebration.
