We are wrapping up August by celebrating a big achievement by one of Vanderhoof’s very own!
At a ceremony held at the HMCS Discovery in Vancouver earlier this week, Councillor Brian Frenkel was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal, a first-of-its-kind commemoration in Canada, which recognizes the significant contributions of Canadians to their community or region.
Councillor Frenkel has served and represented the District with passion for over 20 years, not only within our community, but in various regional, provincial and federal capacities as well, through other involvements such as the Union of BC Municipalities and the North Central Local Government Association.
