Annual Community Clean-Up

This year’s Community Clean-Up takes place on Earth Day: Saturday, April 22, 2023. Join community members by collecting trash and recyclables around Vanderhoof.

How it will happen:

1. Register your clean-up route by contacting the Nechako Waste Reduction Initiative via their Facebook page or at nechakowri@gmail.com. Alternatively, stop by Riverside Park at 10:00 am Saturday, April 22 and have a route assigned to you.
2. Pick up your bags at one of the following locations:
– Riverside Park
– Ferland Park
– NVSS South parking lot
– Bradley Park
– Leiding Park
– Vanderview Park
3. Bring filled bags back to the location from which you picked them up. These will be collected by the district. Please be sure to separate recyclables from garbage.
4. When you’re finished, come by Riverside Park between 12:00-1:00 pm for a complimentary coffee or hot chocolate and donut from Tim Hortons.
