The District of Vanderhoof is excited to announce the arrival of our new full-electric Zamboni for the Vanderhoof Arena!
The Vanderhoof Arena staff were able to take it through the Tim Horton’s drive-thru before its first run on the arena ice!
This electric Zamboni replaces an older model that was nearing the end of its life span. When the Vanderhoof Arena is in full operations, the ice resurfacing machine is used daily to ensure good quality ice in the arena. With the new electric Zamboni, the District will be able to reduce operational emissions, leading to a reduction in environmental impact and health and safety improvement for both staff and patrons.
The District of Vanderhoof would like to thank Coastal Gaslink for their $50,000 donation through their Community Investment Funding program towards purchasing this Zamboni. The District was also able to apply for a $5,000 rebate through Plug-In BC.
The graphic wrap on the Zamboni was designed and installed by Streamline Signs.
