The following is a notice of application for Official Community Plan (OCP) and zoning amendments and the scheduling of a Public Hearing.
At a Public Hearing scheduled for February 10, 2025, Council will consider public input into Official Community Plan Amendment (Industrial Drive) Bylaw 1279, 2025 and Zoning Amendment (Industrial Drive) Bylaw 1280, 2025, which seek to change the OCP designation from Suburban Residential to Light Industrial and to rezone the property from RS-1 Suburban Residential – Single Family to I-1 Light Industry to allow for manufacturing of headstones and monuments.
Pursuant to section 464(1) of the Local Government Act, the holding of a Public Hearing on the proposed amending bylaws is required.
Proposed Official Community Plan Amendment (Industrial Drive) Bylaw 1279, 2025 and Zoning Amendment (Industrial Drive) Bylaw 1280, 2025 are available for public inspection at the District of Vanderhoof Office located at 160 Connaught Street from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, except statutory holidays, or by requesting a copy via email to corporate@district.vanderhoof.ca. The report and bylaw will also be available in the February 10, 2025, Public Hearing agenda package, which will be posted by Thursday, February 6, 2025, at https://vanderhoof.civicweb.net/filepro/documents/86148/
If you believe your property may be affected by these amendments, you are invited to attend the February 10, 2025, Public Hearing and provide input to Council. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to submit a written statement via email to corporate@district.vanderhoof.ca or regular mail to the Corporate Officer at PO Box 900, Vanderhoof, BC, V0J 3A0. Written statements must be received no later than Monday, February 10, 2025, at 5:30 PM.
