The following is a notice of application for zoning and Official Community Plan (OCP) amendments and the scheduling of a Public Hearing.
At a Public Hearing scheduled for January 27, 2025, Council will consider public input into Official Community Plan Amendment (296 2nd Street West) Bylaw 1276, 2025 and Zoning Amendment (296 2nd Street West) Bylaw 1277, 2025, which seek to change the OCP designation from Industrial to Commercial and to rezone the property from I-4 Utilities to C-2 Highway Commercial to allow for a laundromat.
Pursuant to section 464(1) of the Local Government Act, the holding of a Public Hearing on the proposed amending bylaws is required.
Proposed Official Community Plan Amendment (296 2nd Street West) Bylaw 1276, 2025 and Zoning Amendment (296 2nd Street West) Bylaw 1277, 2025 are available for public inspection at the District of Vanderhoof Office located at 160 Connaught Street from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, except statutory holidays, or by requesting a copy via email to corporate@district.vanderhoof.ca. The report and bylaw will also be available in the January 27, 2025, Public Hearing agenda package, which will be posted by Thursday, January 23, 2025, at https://vanderhoof.civicweb.net/filepro/documents/86148/
If you believe your property may be affected by these amendments, you are invited to attend the January 27, 2025 Public Hearing and provide input to Council. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to submit a written statement via email to corporate@district.vanderhoof.ca or regular mail to the Corporate Officer at the address above. Written statements must be received no later than Monday, January 27, 2025, at 5:30 PM.
