The following is a notice of application for a zoning amendment and the waiver of a Public Hearing.
At the June 24, 2024 Regular Council Meeting, Council will consider the third reading of Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1270, 2024, which seeks to rezone the subject property from C-2 Highway Commercial to C-1 Retail Commercial to allow for a home-based business as the principal use and a residence as the secondary use.
The proposed zoning amendment is consistent with the Official Community Plan (OCP) and is not within the Agricultural Land Reserve. The OCP designation for the property is Core Commercial. Pursuant to section 464(2) of the Local Government Act, the holding of a Public Hearing on a proposed zoning bylaw is not required if the bylaw is consistent with the OCP.
Proposed Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1270, 2024 is available for public inspection at the District of Vanderhoof Municipal Office located at 160 Connaught Street from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except statutory holidays, or by requesting a copy via email to corporate@district.vanderhoof.ca.
