The District of Vanderhoof is looking for three residents to join our Board of Variance. This is a great opportunity to get involved in decisions about developments in Vanderhoof. To become a member of the Board, you should be knowledgeable or interested in local building or land use regulations.
Meetings generally last for about one hour and will only take place when applications require review, with about 7-14 days’ notice. The Board considers submissions by property owners for minor variances to the Building, Zoning, or Development Procedures Bylaws. The Board hears from the property owner and any neighbours, then considers if the issue is minor or if there is any hardship for the owner before making a decision.
