The District of Vanderhoof is proud to announce a major update to its upcoming 100-year Celebration: Canadian rock legends Tom Cochrane, Trooper and The Headpins will headline a free outdoor concert on Sunday, July 5, 2026 in Riverside Park.
This once-in-a-lifetime performance will be the grand finale of Vanderhoof’s 100th anniversary—a two-day celebration honouring the town’s rich history, vibrant community and enduring spirit.
Founded in 1926, Vanderhoof has grown from a small railway settlement into the geographical heart of British Columbia. In 2026 residents, neighbours, and visitors will come together to mark a century of progress and pride.
Centennial Highlights Include:
- Live entertainment featuring local talent and national headliners
- Historical exhibits, cowboy poetry, and storytelling capturing Vanderhoof’s journey
- Family-friendly activities including games, artisan markets, and food vendors
- Music, food, and dancing to cap off each day in true Vanderhoof style
- Free concert July 5 featuring Tom Cochrane, Trooper and The Headpins
“Having these iconic artists join us for Vanderhoof’s Centennial is a fantastic way to cap off the weekend.”,” said Kevin Moutray, Mayor of Vanderhoof. “It’s going to be a celebration that brings generations together and showcases the heart of our community.”
Planning is well underway, and organizers encourage everyone to get involved—whether by volunteering, sharing historical photos and memories, or helping spread the word.
