đ Property taxes are now in the mail and are due by Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 4:30 PM. With the Canada Post strike scheduled to resume as of 12:00 AM (midnight) on Friday, May 23, we ask that you please check your mail today or tomorrow, May 22.
âšī¸ While the notices may not arrive in the mail on time, owners of any property within the municipal boundaries of the District of Vanderhoof (residential, commercial and industrial) are still responsible for determining their tax balance(s) and arranging for payment before the July 2 deadline. Staff at the Municipal Office are able to provide your balance. Provincial law states any taxes not paid by the due date are subject to a 10% penalty.
đą We accept debit cards, cash or cheques at the front counter, as well as e-transfers or electronic bill payments through your online banking. We also accept credit card payments through our online portal, which may be accessed through our Online Services page.

Remember to claim your Homeowner Grant as well. Every homeowner is responsible for claiming their grant for their primary residence, including anyone who has paid their property taxes online or whose taxes are paid by their mortgage company. This may be done in person at ServiceBC or claimed online by clicking here.
